Manchester City v Brighton, Everton v West Ham and more football: clockwatch – live
Dominic Booth is at Goodison Park this afternoon for Everton v West Ham. Here’s what he had to say about the first half… “It’s been a rather forgettable first half between two clubs who have little to play for, save for a bit of pride. Everton and West Ham’s places in next season’s Premier League are so secure that David Moyes and Graham Potter were able to engage in a lengthy pre-match chat on the Goodison Park turf. There’s a lot of mutual respect between the two managers and their teams have cancelled each other out so far. The closest we’ve come to a goal was when Jarrad Branthwaite inadvertently headed towards his own net from a Hammers’ corner, with Jordan Pickford springing acrobatically to save. Everton have been slightly more dominant otherwise but this game needs a spark. “For the penalty incicent, Beto appeared to have been tripped by Konstantinos Mavropanos but the VAR Chris Kavanagh deemed there wasn’t conclusive evidence of a foul. It was a tough one to call. Beto did seem to kick the ground before he went over.” Accrington Stanley 1-0 Gillingham Grimsby 0-0 Salford Bradford 0-0 Tranmere Morecambe 2-0 Barrow Carlisle 0-1 Wimbledon Colchester 0-0 Fleetwood Newport 2-0 Harrogate Notts County 0-0 Chesterfield Port Vale 1-0 MK Dons Blackpool 0-1 Leyton Orient Reading 0-0 Stevenage Rotherham 1-0 Exeter City Mansfield Town 1-0 Barnsley Charlton 2-0 Wigan Wycombe 0-0 Wrexham Huddersfield 4-0 Crawley Northampton 1-1 Birmingham Lincoln 1-0 Bristol Rovers Shrewsbury 0-0 Burton Luton 0-0 Middlesbrough Blackburn 1-1 Cardiff Coventry 2-0 Sunderland Swansea 0-2 Burnley Plymouth 1-2 Derby West Brom 0-0 Hull Preston 0-0 Portsmouth Oxford United 0-0 Watford Everton 0-0 West Ham Southampton 0-1 Wolves Ipswich 0-3 Nottingham Forest Manchester City 2-1 Brighton It’s half-time across the leagues, let me bring you some score updates… No penalty!
